Everleigh Isabella Kelley - 8 Months and Counting

Everleigh’s Monthly Photos:  This mommy's attempt to capture our Baby Bear's growth in relation to her “Letter E"... Continued. 

Last month Everleigh finally discovered her gold letter "E".  With that in mind, I kinda knew this mini "Mommy and Everleigh photo session" would be a bit of a challenge.  I'm actually quite lucky I got ANY of her sitting with it at all.  Not only was she more interested in chewing off the (probably toxic, non baby friendly) gold paint off her "E"... she has become this LUNGING, I-want-to-see-what's-over-the-side-of-the-chair, no-fear, 8 month old.  So imagine me, sitting on the floor in front of the chair...one hand on the camera... one hand waving to get her attention... and one leg out ready to break her fall if she threw herself forward.  Broke a sweat just getting four pictures of her looking at me like I was crazy.  I'll take it.  ;)  

No smiles this month but with a face like that and cheeks like those, no need for one.  She's by far, the most adorable 8 month old I've ever seen.  

Recent Milestones:  

CRAWLING - A week after she turned 7 months old and right after we came back from the valley.. she was OFF!  No turning back now... and because she's chasing Macie around the house, her and Macie are now warming up to each other..or should I say, Macie's FINALLY warming up to HER! ;)  

STANDING - Using the couch to help her along, she mastered standing in two days (right at 8 months), now picking herself up like a champ, every. single. time! 

MORE TEETH - Cut her SEVENTH tooth the day after she turned 8 months.  This girl is ready for a juicy STEAK!! 

SOLIDS - This girl has loved everything we've given her so far.  Since starting solids at 6 months, she's tried (and loved):  Carrots, Cauliflower, Sweet Potatoes, Corn, Squash, Green Beans, Broccoli, Chicken, Pears, Apples, Bananas & Peaches to name a few... Makes a chef daddy proud.  ;)

Last day in the Valley with the Familia :)

After a whirlwind two days of being here, there and everywhere during our trip to the valley.. it was nice to have most of Sunday to just sit back with the family and relax.  My parents got to spend some quality time with Everleigh, my brother took Chad fishing (at the butt crack of dawn) and the kiddies got to spend time lovin' on their cousin.  :)  All in all.. a GREAT weekend that was over MUCH too quickly.

Addie's 5th Birthday & Sweet Cousin Time :)

There was absolutely, positively NO WAY of stopping this last weekend from being JAM PACKED full of activities.  From Everleigh's baptism (the day before) to Addie's 5th birthday party on Saturday... The Maldonado's and The Kelley's were here, there and everywhere... from the moment we landed in Harlingen... to the moment we landed back in Dallas.  Talk about an EXHAUSTING weekend!!  Short but definitely VERY, VERY sweet :)  

Considering all the chaos surrounding this particular visit to the valley, Everleigh cooperated in every way possible.  Napping when given the opportunity, socializing when the party started... She was MORE than just a TROOPER!!  Everyone had a great time... INCLUDING, the birthday girl herself!
