Addie's 2nd Birthday Weekend :)

I can't believe my beautiful god daughter and niece is already TWO YEARS OLD!!  Two?  Seriously?  Weren't we just in the hospital anxiously awaiting her arrival?  I can't get over how fast time flies!  This whole "aunt" thing has been the experience of a lifetime.  I didn't know I could love someone so much just knowing them two years.  From the first day we held her, it was as if she was meant to be in our family the whole time.  I love our chats together... in between babbling and very distinct and clear words, you can already get a sense of her personality and can see her future in her big brown eyes.  This years second birthday party was a bit challenging to say the least.  We can chalk it up to nerves...but in between crying fits, I managed to get a few great pictures of her!

Happy 2nd Birthday Mamas  :)
I love you sooooooooooo MUCH!

Party #2 in the comfort of her own home!
Mmmmmm... that cupcake looks sooo good!

Easter Weekend - Addie's 1st Easter Hunt

After a long and exhausting day at the zoo, and after a tasty and super delicious Easter dinner prepared by my chef love....we caught our second wind and headed outside to commemorate the holiday with Addie's very first Easter egg hunt.  After supplying Addie with her very own Dora Easter bucket and bunny ears, she hit our backyard with a vengence, hunting for those eggs like a certified CHAMP marking a very successful first year of hunting for those eggs!

Little Miss Addie ready for her very first egg hunting adventure with her new Dora bucket :)

What a smile!

First time dad doing whatever it takes to make Easter festive for his daughter :)

And it's on..
Let the egg hunting commence!!

My attempt to capture EVERY SINGLE egg she found... lol

Awww... looks like someone is having a great time

Now thats the face of one focused girl!

Ooooo... I see more over there!

Her bucket is almost full and by this time she was dumping them out as fast as she was picking them up!
It was so cute watching her leave a trail of eggs behind her.

After awhile she got smart and decided to drop her bucket and gather the eggs without it.

Uncle Chad spots an opportunity...

While Addie was on the hunt for more eggs...
Chad dipped into her bucket to continue the fun and she had NO idea. lol.
Soon after, Easter eggs were falling from the sky!  :)  I love my husband...

Assessing her loot with dad

Counting her Easter eggs..

Cute picture Christi :)

There goes Mrs. Cottontail!  :)

Easter Weekend - Ft. Worth Zoo

Full day #2 of Addie, Omar and Christi's visit led us out to the Ft. Worth Zoo.  Having never been there ourselves, Chad and I were just as eager as Addie to see what all the fuss was about.  Thankfully the weather couldn't have been more cooperative.  Cloudy but bright skies with just enough wind to keep us cool.  What a perfect day for an outing with the family and Addie LOVED every minute of it!

Ok.  I'm ready.  I'm really, really ready.  Take the dang picture ALREADY!

Ooooo... I'm not sure what this face is about but I'm going to go ahead and blame it on Uncle Chad!

See... Doesn't this face look guilty?  lol..

A little too bright for these two.

Oh man... not another picture?!  Can't they see I'm trying to nap here?!

Seriously?!  No PHOTOS PLEASE!!

Geesh!  What's a chimp have to do to get a little private nap time around here?!

Come here, monkey, monkey, monkey!

that's one HUGE gorilla!

Nap time.. :) By this time, we were needing one too!

The boys.. being silly.  :)

A little juice for the weary

and PAPACORN... Addie's favorite :)

a fist full of goodness

Addie never had a clue she was being pushed by Uncle Chad..
What a sight?! (her and uncle Chad have yet to become best buds.. lol)

She never let go of that popcorn bucket... lol

cute baby elephants :)

Seems like it was siesta time for all the animals at the zoo... :)

Oooo...I take that sleeping for this guy
I think it's feeding time for this lion...

What's in there mama?!

We were all shocked to see little Miss Addison walking along with Chad!
Seems as if Omar and Christi weren't walking fast enough for this eager beaver to see the rest of the animals.
Go Chad Go! (I think the look on Chad's face says it all... hehehehe)

I wonder if she realized who's hand she was holding?

Still going... :)

Aunt Yvette and Addie :)

too tired to crack a smile..

My silly, silly husband :)

Planning our next stop

We're going WHERE?!

Waiting for the CHOO-CHOO!!

Not sure what this face is about... lol

What a day!  Still smiling after nearly four hours at the zoo.. :)

All tuckered out...

Like mother like daughter... :)  Preparing for their second wind.
