The Cotton Bowl & My Fightin' Texas Aggies

If one thing is for certain, it's that I'm a Fightin' Texas Aggie through and through.  I may not have maroon EVERYTHING, or go to every home game or even wear my Aggie ring anymore (it's too big and I'm afraid to send it in to get fixed in case it gets lost or something)... but I'm damn proud of the school that I devoted four years of my life to.  The experiences that I had there and the friendships that I made, make College Station and the University that I hold so dear, extra special.

So imagine my elation when Chad called me last Thursday asking if I wanted to go to the sold-out, talked about, hyped up, crazy expensive Cotton Bowl game, the VERY NEXT DAY!!  My dear old Texas Aggies were set to play the OU Sooners that Friday night and Chad's boss had heard that I was a Former Student.  As a Christmas present, baby gift, or for reasons we weren't sure of.. we didn't care!!  He very GENEROUSLY wanted to BUY US tickets!!!!  How incredibly awesome IS THAT?!?!  After a few back and forth phone calls to verify our sitter for the night, we accepted his amazing gift (and called everyone we knew to spread the good cheer!!) Or at least I did... my brother Omar and sister-in-law Christi were coming up for the game as well.  All was right in the world and I was getting giddy for my first game of the season!!! :)
