Thanksgiving Feast as Husband and Wife :)

Having just returned from our Honeymoon, we decided to forgo traveling once again to spend our very first Thanksgiving together, just the two of us.  :)

In keeping with tradition, Chad and I (well mostly him but you could've guessed that already ;) cooked up a Thanksgiving feast unlike any other.  :)  It definitely had the making of a very traditional meal, but this time, with a Chad Kelley twist.  :)

A cook, not a baker, Chad relied on the Joy of Baking to remind himself how to make homecooked, made from scratch, brioche.
He made the first batch, I MADE the second!  :) (So Proud!)

Pounding out the dough... :)

Turkey done right.  Two turkey breasts for the event.  One wrapped in bacon, one covered...well SLATHERED in chorizo.... MMM GOOD!

This is one hard working kitchen!

Green bean casserole... almost done :)

The final turkey product... well one of them that is..

Our brioche... sooo soooo good!  Tasty, buttery, and super dense.  :)

All this for two people???!!!??!

And for dessert...... Rice Krispie treats. :)
Our signature dessert (inspired by our very first date to Fearing's)

One SERIOUSLY good meal.  :)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
We love you, miss you and can't wait to see ya'll again!

Kelley Honeymoon (Day 7) - San Francisco

Our last and final day of our extremely fun but EXHAUSTING honeymoon vacation found us among some of the PRETTIEST ladies in town... The Painted Ladies!  :)

Doesn't this remind you of the Full House intro when they are running thru the park in front of the Painted Ladies?!  :)  Well I guess I might be one of a handful of people that actually WATCHED Full House.  :)

Kelley Honeymoon (Day 6) - San Francisco

Our first order of business on this, one of our final days in San Francisco, was to tackle Chinatown :)

Wanting to do it right, we made our way thru the Chinatown entry gates and started our climb up the hill...

Love the detail...

Such an energetic part of the city...

Ross Street.. :)

Tasty snack for the road...:)

Mmmm... yummy window shopping... :)

Making our way thru one of the more traditional streets in Chinatown..

How cool is that?!

Not sure what it is that I like about this building... but i do.  :)

Next stop:  Haight Ashbury

A walk thru Golden Gate Park...

There were beatniks and hippies everywhere, singing their songs and beatin' on their drums..
it was pretty interesting thats for sure.. :)

On a mission and after about an hour wandering about, Chad and I finally found our way to the very tip top of Strawberry Hill.  Although we didn't quite make it with enough time to see the sun set, it was still beautiful up there.  Surrounded by massive trees, the city lights began to twinkle as dusk settled in around us..
So beautiful!

Kelley Honeymoon (Day 5) - San Francisco

Happy that the weather cooperated with us throughout most of our trip thus far, we were thrilled to have a little rain this morning as we drove back into San Francisco to finish out our trip.

The Golden Gate Bridge still stunning as the rain clouds parted and the fog slowly lifted...

Taking it all in from the top..

The remains of the old gun turrets that stood guard over San Francisco's Bay...

Remnants of San Francisco's military days..

A smile with the Transamerica building... :)

We walked our way from the Transamerica building down to the Fisherman's Wharf... and back... and forth and down to the Ferry building... and back...and forth.. lol.. and... (well I think you get the idea)

The seals off of Pier 39

The ferry building at night.. so pretty!

Still bustling even after the suns gone down... They had the coolest stuff in here!

Another must stop for our trip... Boccalone, Chris Consentino's creation
(Food Network's- Chef's vs.City)

Mmmm... deciding on his tasty salted pig parts... :)

Happy with his Salumi cone... :)
