Fourth of July BBQ FUN!!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!
FROM THE FUTURE CHAD AND YVETTE KELLEY ;)
___________________________________________________________________

It's funny how the best parties are the ones that don't come with very much planning. Being that Chad had two consecutive days off this July 4th, you would've thought that we would've taken advantage and planned a big shing dig... but the day came quickly and we still didn't have anything concrete planned. During our afternoon trip to the store that day, we stocked up for the makings of a bbq feast that could feed an army (literally) without even knowing if we would have anyone to feed! As luck would have it we were delighted to find a few close friends with no real plans other than to come hang out with us!! A good time was certainly had by all and we can't wait to do it again! Let the entertaining BEGIN!! :)

Macie and Mommy hanging out before our guests arrive..
The menu was a gourmet bbq feast fit for royalty!!
Chad whipped up some CRAZY yummy goodies that EVERYONE loved! Good job baby!
(we added prices just for fun... hehehehe)

Here's Chad working on the garlic, onion and peach glaze that went on the pork shoulder he grilled... OH.MY. GOODNESS!!

Not sure what's happening here... but apparently Chad was being silly.. like always.. hehehehe..

Here I am working on my contribution to the dinner..
A sugar free layer concoction made with Sugar free Oreos, Sugar free pudding, Sugar free Cool whip and Light cheery pie filling... surprisingly, it was GOOD!! lol.. Chad seemed to think I was nuts... Chad-"Where the hell's all the SUGAR?!?!" lol..

Mary Ann and Chiku... working on the wine.. :)

I think we had one too many glasses by this point. Needless to say, we were happy. :)

Ready to EAT!!

About to serve it up... I love my CHEF!

Winding down the evening with a few laughs...

Mena knocked out pretty soon after we filled her belly with yummy goodness... :)

Kelley family lovin' :)

Sleepy kisses... Awww...

Nope.. sorry love. ALL GONE... (I think it was me that drank it all.. hehehehe)

hehehehehe... SNEAK ATTACK!! Guess he REALLY, REALLY wanted that wine! lol..

Off to see the Wizard :)

Finding any excuse to celebrate our relationship, Chad and I marked the five month date til our wedding with a little trip to Fair Park. Having only been to one other musical in my life, (The Producers, in NYC) I was super excited to see one of Dallas' Summer Musicals, The Wizard of Oz! I must admit, it definitely EXCEEDED my expectations three-fold. It was awesome! The cast was absolutely amazing, capturing the characters personalities perfectly and the lighting and effects were awe inspiring. :)
Chad and I had a wonderful time and with sooooo many musicals left to see this summer, we're definitely going to have a tough time figuring out which to see next!! Suggestions anyone?? ;)
We ended our perfectly relaxing Sunday evening with a yummy trip to one of our FAVORITE Dallas restaurants Alo, where we ate to our little hearts content.
Life. Is. GREAT!

VERY FIRST Concert @ The NEW Cowboys Stadium!!! :)

Country Rock Stars... :)

Set amongst an All Star Country Cast, the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium opened it's doors for the very first time to throngs of eager and curious sports fans from all across Texas. Having purchased the rights to his very own seats in the stadium (for the next thirty years at least) my brother was amongst the curious, hoping to catch the first glimpse at his investment. No expense was spared when it came to the very first concert to bless the stadium, bringing in the biggest names in country music. Lee Ann Womack started the lineup which also included Blake Shelton, followed by Miss Reba, ending the night with a steller performance by Mr. George Strait himself.

My brothers vantage point.. Where he will be sitting to watch the Cowboys play

Hanging out with my sister in law Christi before the concert began...

This place was PACKED!!

Awww.. the Maldonado family...

Melinda and Andy's Wedding Day!

As more and more of my friends are marrying this year, I have found myself getting nervous for THEIR weddings as well as my own!! As I go through the process of preparing for my own wedding, I have inadvertently and unconsciously put myself in their shoes and have imagined myself walking up that aisle just as they have been doing for their own. This past weekend was no exception. One of my dearest friends and bridesmaid in my wedding had her very own special day in the Valley this Saturday and I was honored to be a part of it. Mrs. Melinda Gonzalez (formally Verduzco) looked simply RADIANT as she married her long time love, Andres (aka Andy) and we all had a blast at her wedding. Congratulations to the happy, beautiful Mr.& Mrs.!! Chad and I had a great time… and we can’t wait to see you in a few months at OUR wedding!
